Hey!
My name is Xavier and I'm from Los Angeles, born and raised on the East side of the city. I enjoy creating photographs and music.
When I was first able to walk, my dad put a camera in my hands - a plastic 110 that superimposed Waldo (as in, Where's) in the bottom right corner. I wish I still had that camera.
These days I carry a camera literally everywhere with me, most often a 35mm rangefinder. I like documenting everything - daily walks, bar visits with my wife, international travel. To me, it's all important.
I enjoy helping people capture their moments too, focusing on the way that they want to remember these moments. Sometimes this means classic posed portraits. Sometimes, candid "street photography" style weddings. Usually, it's somewhere in between.
While I prefer to shoot film whenever possible, I believe a true mark of expertise means knowing the correct tool for the job, so I have no problem incorporating both film and digital into my personal and professional work.
